Lithium-sulfur batteries are envisaged to enable energy storage devices with high specific energy at low material cost. The recent research provides significant progress in terms of materials for active and passive cell components as well as on understanding of mechanisms finally leading to improved Li-S cell performance.

The European School for Young Materials Scientists aims to bring together young scientists, mainly PhD students, working in the fields of Materials Science, Electronic Materials, Quantum materials, Nanoscale Materials, Nanoanalysis, Multi-scale materials characterization, Computational material science, AI-based materials science as well as Microscopy.

The 6th Correlative Materials Characterization Workshop will bring together communities from Materials, Electronics, Life and Computer Science, to discuss and explore topics of common interests.

The scope of the event includes all relevant techniques used for correlative characterization. The main focus will be on Light Microscopy, Electron Microscopy, X-ray Microscopy and Atomic Force Microscopy.
